Wastewater Facilities Engineering
Wastewater Facilities Engineering
LSSE provides wastewater facilities planning, design, bid document preparation and construction phase for new systems, rehabilitation of existing systems, as well as unique source reduction (inflow/infiltration programs). Recent experience includes planning through construction phase services for over 162 miles of sanitary/combined sewers and 10 wastewater treatment plants. LSSE has also maintained a prominent role in one of the nation’s largest and most complex wet weather control programs, the Allegheny County (ALCOSAN) wet weather control program mandated under a Federal EPA Consent Decree, which has an estimated cost of over $ 3 billion. No other regional, western Pennsylvania firm had equivalent status in this multi-phase regional program, which involved eight teams lead by one of the nation’s Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top–10 Wastewater Engineering firms.
